My Approach
As I say to every client that walks in through the door, my main objective is to help you find the place that will help meet your present needs. Be it depression, anxiety, family problems, addiction, the goal is respect and empathy. I have a lengthy history in utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). The first goal for both of us to understand your story. From there, we work together to find interventions that will help you get to where you want to be.
About me
I started working professionally in 1993 as an Alcoholism Counselor at WCA Hospital in Jamestown, NY. After graduating from Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY in 2002 with a master’s degree in Social Work, I lived in Boston before settling in the Berkshires in 2003. My private practice began in 2005. I enjoy working with adults, couples and families coping with depression, anxiety, stage of life issues and addictions. I hold both the Certified and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor certificates for Massachusetts, and began working professionally with the addicted population in 1993.
